Too Human, demo review.

I know, I know. My first review, and I'm reviewing a demo that anyone can play for free? Sorry guys, but it's the most recent thing I've played.

Alright, let's get things started. Right from the get go, you can see how beautiful the game is. The art direction and graphics are stunning, and make the game seem as if it is going to be well worth the long wait.(It's been what... ten or so years since the game was announced?) But, once you start playing... things seem to take a turn for the worst. Now, it's a demo, so of course not everything is accessible, nor will it be the same in the full product. But we can still get a pretty good idea of the gameplay. The camera, and how they chose to make it work, is just simply annoying. Most of the time you have a simple fixed camera which you can't even use to look behind you(Unless in combat, and only then by multiple button pushes)and the only directions you can move it is to your left or right. And that's barely to your left or right.

Anyways, the combat. According to the developers, this game and the gameplay is suppose to be revolutionary. No, it's really not. It's good, hard to do at first until you get use to it, but good. Revolutionary? Godly? No. Left analog stick of course countrols your motion, and the right analog stick is used to attack with your melee weapon. You point it in the direction that you which to attack, and if an enemy is in that direction, you will 'lockon' and zoom right over to them. This can sometimes be annoying when you're first starting out, but like I said. Once you get used to it, it's pretty good.

I'll admit, I'm looking forward to buying the finished product, but I don't think this is game of the year material. I'm not going to rate it at the moment, since it's a demo. So stay tuned and wait for the full review in August.
